Migration guide

Import WooCommerce Products to Shopify

WooCommerce and Shopify both speak CSV, but their columns don't match. Export your products from WordPress, rename and reshape the columns using the mapping below, then import the file into Shopify.

1. Export your products from WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress, go to Products → All Products and click Export.
  2. Choose all columns and all product types, and tick Export custom meta if you use it.
  3. Click Generate CSV and save the file.

2. Map WooCommerce columns to Shopify

Shopify's importer only reads its own column names. Copy each WooCommerce column into the matching column of the Shopify product CSV template.

3. Import the file into Shopify

  1. Copy your data into Shopify's product CSV template, using the mapping table.
  2. Give each variation its own row with the parent's Handle, and fill in the Option columns.
  3. Check the file with a CSV checker, then go to Products → Import in Shopify admin.
  4. Preview, import, and spot-check a few products with variants.
  5. Add 301 redirects from /product/{slug}/ to /products/{handle} before you switch your domain.

4. Common WooCommerce migration problems

  • WooCommerce lists variations as separate products with a Parent column. Shopify needs them as rows that share the parent's Handle.
  • Shopify allows 3 options per product. If you use more attributes, merge some together or add them as tags.
  • Image URLs must still be reachable when Shopify imports them, so keep the old site online until the import is done.
  • WooCommerce product URLs (/product/…/) change to /products/… on Shopify, so redirect every old URL to keep your rankings.

No. 1Click imports from Amazon, AliExpress, eBay and Shopify stores you manage. To move a WooCommerce catalog, use Shopify's CSV import with the mapping on this page.
