Import Squarespace Products to Shopify
Squarespace exports physical products to CSV with up to six options per product. Shopify supports three, so plan your variants first, then reshape the file using the mapping below.
1. Export your products from Squarespace
- In Squarespace, open Commerce → Inventory (or your Products panel).
- Click the export option and choose to export all products as CSV.
- Note that digital products and services may not be included in the export.
2. Map Squarespace columns to Shopify
Shopify's importer only reads its own column names. Copy each Squarespace column into the matching column of the Shopify product CSV template.

3. Import the file into Shopify
- Decide how to fit products with 4–6 options into Shopify's 3 options.
- Copy the data into Shopify's template using the mapping table.
- For products on sale, put the sale price in Variant Price and the regular price in Compare At.
- Check the CSV, then import it under Products → Import.
- Redirect each old Squarespace product URL to its new Shopify URL.
4. Common Squarespace migration problems
- Squarespace allows up to six product options. Shopify allows three, so combine or drop extra options before import.
- Hosted Image URLs can hold several links in one cell. Shopify needs one image per row.
- Squarespace product pages live under the store page's URL. Map each one to /products/{handle} with a 301 redirect.
