Automatic Price Markup & Currency Conversion

Set your pricing rules once. Every product you import is converted from the supplier's currency to yours, multiplied by your markup and rounded to .99, so nothing goes live at the wrong price.

Pricing rules: what you get

  • Choose the source currency for each import
  • Prices convert to your store currency
  • One price multiplier for every import, for example 1.8
  • Round to .99, so $49.00 becomes $49.99
  • Change any variant's price, compare-at price or SKU before import

How it works

  1. In settings, enter a price multiplier and tick Round to .99.
  2. When you paste a link, choose the listing's currency.
  3. 1Click converts, multiplies and rounds each variant price.
  4. Adjust single variants in the editor, or apply one price to all of them.

The formula

Selling price = supplier price × exchange rate × multiplier, then rounded to .99.

A multiplier of 1.8 is an 80% markup on cost, which works out to a gross margin of about 44%. A multiplier of 2 doubles the cost, a 100% markup and a 50% margin. Use the free calculator to test your numbers, including shipping costs.

Compare-at prices

Each variant has a compare-at price field in the editor. Fill it in to show a crossed-out price on your product page. Leave it blank if you don't run discounts.

How do I add a markup to imported products in Shopify?

With 1Click, set a price multiplier in settings. Every imported price is multiplied by it, after currency conversion. Without an app you'd edit each price by hand or in a CSV.

What does Round to .99 do?

It sets each price to end in .99. For example $49.00 becomes $49.99.

Can I use a different markup for one product?

Yes. Open the product before import and change the price of any variant, or apply one price to all variants.

What's a good dropshipping markup?

Many stores start between 2× and 3× the landed cost (product plus shipping) so there's room for ad spend and returns. Use the calculator to check your margin at different multipliers.
