Every Shopify CSV column explained
| Column | Needed | What to put in it |

Handle | Required | The product's URL slug. Rows that share a handle are variants or extra images of one product. |
Title | New products | Product name. Fill it in on the first row of each product only. |
Body (HTML) | Optional | Product description. HTML such as <p> and <ul> is allowed. |
Vendor | Optional | Brand or supplier name. |
Product Category | Optional | A category from Shopify's product taxonomy, e.g. Apparel & Accessories > Clothing > Shirts & Tops. |
Type | Optional | Your own product type, used for filtering and collections. |
Tags | Optional | Comma-separated tags inside one cell. |
Published | Optional | TRUE to publish to your online store, FALSE to hide it. |
Option1 Name / Option1 Value | Variants | e.g. Size / M. Use Title / Default Title for products without variants. |
Option2 / Option3 | Variants | Up to three options, e.g. Color and Material. |
Variant SKU | Optional | Your stock-keeping unit. |
Variant Grams | Optional | Weight in grams, used for shipping rates. |

Where can I download a sample Shopify product CSV?

How do I add variants in a Shopify CSV?
Give each variant its own row with the same Handle. Fill in Title, Body and the option names on the first row only, and the option values, SKU and price on every variant row.
How do I add multiple images to a product in a CSV?
Add an extra row for each image with only the Handle, Image Src and Image Position filled in.
Can I use the dummy products CSV to test my theme?
Yes. Import it into a development or test store to see collections, product pages and variants filled with demo data. Delete the products before you launch. The images are placeholder photos.
Why do my images fail to import?
Shopify must be able to download each image. Use full public URLs that point directly to the image file, with no login, and no spaces in the link.
